nice ... spooky

Thank you for playing! We appreciate it!

When it comes to reviewing or commenting on games like this one, I am both excited and afraid, that the developers might get this wrong, but, however it is, the game was a huge disappointment for me.

From the start of the game, I noticed how well the character model was and how the esthetic of the game was unique, very unique and I am so impressed about how much this game contains and shows off, because visually it's a high class game. Yet, I have to say bad news - the content of the game as of the practical part of it is a mess.

I understand, the language might be a barrier, but you need to have English translation, at least subtitles for the game. Some of the core notes were hard to read and I took a picture and translated it myself. It's was difficult and distracting from the experience, which must be immersive for this type of game.

Other major complain is controls. I kept pressing different keys to find out if I could do something in the game, when the monster started chasing me and even now I wonder, maybe I could have done something to avoid it, but unfortunately, lack of controls setting was a major issue. At least, put the controls on the page, so people won't miss it.

Now, all of the above I did handle pretty well, I started recording the game, but, the one thing that made me quit and delete the game was the monster, which was unavoidable. I don't know, if there is going to be an update to this and if someone will fix this and go through with the monster, but, 10 out of 10 times, I restarted the game and the monster was unavoidable.

There were some minor bugs here and there, like sound effects were dragged a bit, animation was late and so and all, but those are nothing compare to the major issue, which won't let me complete the game.

I hope the developer(s) would look into the first version and update, add some control setting and of course add subtitles or some kind of language settings. And please, add some running or jogging at least.

Good Luck and hope to see improvements.

Hi Niven! Thanks for playing!

I just wanna clarify these are games our students make during their time at our school, most of these game projects are running parallell with individual courses. This one was made using own engine and tech from scratch during their 7th game project spanning 15 weeks part-time (50%).

These are to be experienced as such and maybe not compared to full feature games in actual game studios :)

But we very much appreciate you taking the time and feedback to our students and for trying out their hard labor!

I actually can read, fortunately for me and I have read what your projects are about and I do know these are made by students and they are learning a lot from experience and hard work. I do not expect the games to be highest quality and AAA. I've played lot's of student games and personally have been the coach of my team for "GDWC 2020" and  I do understand the following, no need to explain. It's just, simply having a translated text and subtitle is not a huge work, considering the fact that this project does have an enormous amount of detailed renders, high quality textures and animation.

I do expect the flaws, yet I do expect the project to apply the language settings or at least be translated, maybe a little prompt or bar for the text would help.
Good Luck to those students! I am very glad to see their work.

Sorry if that came out wrong! Thanks again. I was just trying to put it more into context, a lot of the time the criteria for these games are leaning more towards the academic side for them to learn various aspects of game development, but it's still fun to get them out there and share the work here! :)

We still value the feedback and we'd hope for you to continue trying out our games!
